After flying high against the Merrimack Tomahawks last Thursday, the Manchester Memorial Crusaders came back down to earth. Manchester Memorial fell just short of Pelham by a score of 46-44.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was NyAsia McKelvey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. McKelvey set a new season high mark in blocks with three. Another player making a difference was Torle Adumene, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Manchester Memorial now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Pelham, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Manchester Memorial won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Trinity at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Trinity comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Pelham, they will be playing at home against Sanborn Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sanborn Regional is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
