Trinity made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,749 from 6,871. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 37-25 victory over Marion last week.
Garrett Walker put up the best numbers through the air as Ell-Saline lost to Smith Center. He finished with a total of seven completions for 68 yards and one touchdown. Walker's favorite target this week was Keegan Hays, who caught three passes for 34 yards.
Zach Fief provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Bennington fell to Plainville. He completed nine passes for 51 yards and also ran for 167 yards. Fief's favorite target this week was B.J. Glanton, who caught six passes for 35 yards.
Jared Winter made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Cardinals lost to the Redmen. The 5-foot-10 senior racked up 1.0 sack.
The Cardinals' Brylie Ware and Logan Thompson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Heart of America in both passing and receiving yards. Ware has thrown for 1104 yards this season, while Thompson, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 22 catches for 461 yards. Josh Miller from Inman leads the league in rushing with 893 yards.
Sedgwick led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on the Wildcats.
