The Mandeville Skippers suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 69-44 loss at the hands of Slidell. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Mandeville has suffered against Slidell since January 11, 2019.
Slidell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mike Parlow, who scored 18 points. Jereme Landor was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six assists and two steals.
Mandeville's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Slidell, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mandeville will face off against Ponchatoula at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Slidell won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Paul's at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. St. Paul's is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
