The Bledsoe County Warriors on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Tyner Academy Rams at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Bledsoe County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Tyner Academy likes a good challenge.
Bledsoe County pushed their score all the way to 60 last Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Sequatchie County 65-60.
Meanwhile, Tyner Academy put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They blew past Howard Tech 80-48 on the road. Given Tyner Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Howard Tech is ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bledsoe County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Tyner Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
Bledsoe County was dealt a bruising 70-34 defeat at the hands of Tyner Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Bledsoe County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
