 Piedmont is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine games,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record  this season. As for Monroe, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Piedmont beat Monroe by a score of  19-0 later that day.
