Monte Vista will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Patrick Henry at Monte Vista H.S. at 5:15 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Everything went Monte Vista's way against University City last Thursday as they made off with a 32-6 win. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (26) and coasted on those for the win.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 7-44, which was the final score in Patrick Henry's tilt against Mira Mesa on Thursday.
Monte Vista's victory lifted them to 3-0 while Patrick Henry's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Monte Vista can add another positive mark to their record or if Patrick Henry can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Monte Vista's step.
