Grandview has won six straight games at home, while Castle View has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Wolves will host the Sabercats at 9:30 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Grandview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over Pueblo West. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Kayden Bohmeyer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyler Vaughn, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Grandview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pueblo West only posted an OBP of .300.
Meanwhile, Castle View faced Pine Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Sabercats put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 15-1 victory. The Sabercats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Keyan Lundvall made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, Castle View got a massive performance out of Samuel Harry, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Harry continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Tyler Feldhake was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Grandview is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Castle View, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Grandview has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Castle View struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Grandview couldn't quite finish off Castle View in their previous meeting back in April and fell 9-7. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
