Basketball Recap: Freeman's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Freeman had won three straight games and Taylee Phelps did her part to make it four on Friday. The Freeman Scotties claimed a resounding 64-31 win over the Kellogg Wildcats thanks in part to Phelps, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 13 boards. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Freeman's points.

Rylee Russell was another key player, going 8 of 17 on her way to 22 points and three steals. Russell is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Freeman's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Kellogg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Freeman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-21 win against White Swan on the 28th. As for Kellogg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-19 defeat against Liberty on the 28th.
