The Lakeside Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-30 walloping at the hands of Stockton. Loss or not, Lakeside got some senior leadership from Lauren Brummet who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds and Faith Ruthstom who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds. Brummet scored a full 36.7% of Lakeside's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lakeside has fallen quite a ways from their 15-7 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Stockton, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Lakeside will head out on the road to face off against Bennington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stockton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tescott on Tuesday. Tescott comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
