Mercer County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-60 to ROWVA/Williamsfield. The Golden Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
The defeat dropped the Golden Eagles' record to 4-24. The win makes it two in a row for ROWVA/Williamsfield and bumps their record up to 10-16.
The Golden Eagles will square off against Biggsville West Central Friday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 32 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close contest. ROWVA/Williamsfield is on the road again Friday and plays against Annawan. ROWVA/Williamsfield will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
