It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Corner Canyon Chargers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 41-27 victory over Skyridge. Corner Canyon is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.
Isaac Wilson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 192 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 255 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt. Wilson was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 54 yards. Jerome Myles was another key contributor, picking up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Skyridge's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jackson Stevens, who threw for 378 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Burke, who picked up 166 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Corner Canyon's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Skyridge, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Corner Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Skyridge also has no future games currently scheduled.
