Argonia took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They breezed past the Attica Bulldogs to the tune of 58-23. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-7.
Argonia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Corben Koehler out in front who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards. Those 18 points gave Koehler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddex Hemberger, who posted ten points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Argonia will host Pretty Prairie at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Attica, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Central on the 16th.
