The Washington Tigers and the Crestview Rebels will round out the year against one another at at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. One thing working in Washington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
Last Saturday, the stars were shining brightly for Washington in a 67-49 victory over Jackson. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Polar Bears are ranked 46th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Washington's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Delaney Pierce, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Pierce's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of La Nia Moore, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Washington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Crestview was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Newton Falls 50-11. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 31 points or more this season.
Washington better keep an eye on Addison Rhodes. She was instrumental in Crestview's win, going 8 of 19 on her way to 21 points in addition to six assists and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rhodes has scored at least a third of Crestview's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luvrain Gaskins, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 10 points along with five boards and three steals.
Washington pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Crestview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Washington and Crestview are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Washington hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 70.9 points per game. However, it's not like Crestview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 60.2 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
