The Furr Brahmans will take on the Iowa Colony Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Furr didn't have too much trouble with Kashmere at home as they won 28-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Furr.
Furr can attribute much of their success to Dallas Berry, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and Darrius Garland, who rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Iowa Colony put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 49-45 win over Needville. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Iowa Colony found their leader in underclassman Carson White, who rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 168 yards and a touchdown. Jacody Miles did his part to keep the secondary busy, gaining 159 total yards.
Furr is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Iowa Colony, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 10-0 record.
