The Pine Lake Prep Pride will square off against the Draughn Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Pine Lake Prep 1.4, Draughn 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Pine Lake Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against North Stanly by a score of 7-2. The win was familiar territory for the Pride, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Emery Jensen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Brynn Lehnerer was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Emma Rette was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Pine Lake Prep hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Draughn made easy work of East Davidson on Friday and carried off a 12-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Pine Lake Prep, Draughn also got a great game from a two-way player: Avie Helton. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits. Helton was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Draughn got a massive performance out of Braylen Clontz, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Ava Aldridge, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Pine Lake Prep's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Draughn, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pine Lake Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Draughn struggles in that department as they've averaged .439. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
