Canterbury School have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Saturday. They are leaving CT behind and heading out of state to face off against New Hampton School at 3:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Canterbury School, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
After soaring to 40 points the game before, Canterbury School faltered in their contest last Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 9-41 walloping at St. Paul's's hands. Canterbury School were down by 9-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, everything went New Hampton School's way against Albany Academy for Boys last Saturday as they made off with a 35-7 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.
New Hampton School's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Canterbury School's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. In their victory, New Hampton School relied heavily on senior Jake Dulac, who picked up 123 yards on the ground and accumulated 230 passing yards. Canterbury School will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
