Alekzander Colombo had an outrageously good game as he went 6-for-9 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce Maiden, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 18 points.
Meanwhile, Grain Valley entered their tilt with Platte County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 52-40 win over the Pirates. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Pirates are ranked 248th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Belton's record is now 8-14. As for Grain Valley, their record is now 12-7.
