The Excel Academy of South Shore Broncos will head out on the road to square off against the Corliss Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Excel Academy of South Shore played against Chicago Military Academy and lost via forfeit.
Corliss' four-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They secured a 60-55 W over Fenger. The victory was just what Corliss needed coming off of a 85-26 defeat in their prior matchup.
Corliss found their leader in underclassman Joshua Pegues, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pegues has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of D?Mario Sanders, who scored 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Excel Academy of South Shore and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Corliss, their victory bumped their record up to 2-11.
Excel Academy of South Shore suffered a grim 76-54 defeat to Corliss in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Excel Academy of South Shore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
