Gilroy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They won by a goal and slipped past The Nueva School Mavericks 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Darren Hernandez and Diego Rodriguez scored all three of Gilroy's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Gilroy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for The Nueva School, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Gilroy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Monte Vista Christian on the 12th. As for The Nueva School, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 6-0 defeat against Crystal Springs Uplands on the 10th.
