The Lakewood Lancers fell victim to the Utica Redskins''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Redskins on the road and fell 35-0. Lakewood's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.
Adam Crawford threw for 74 yards while completing 92.3% of his passes.
Lakewood's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-9 Zanesville and 2-8 Northridge (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.3% over those games). As for Utica, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Lakewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Utica will head out on the road to face off against Columbus Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
