Vassar found their leader in freshman Maya McCloud, who went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points plus seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Fessler, who posted five points.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vassar will venture away from home to take on Memphis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marlette, they and Unionville-Sebewaing are set to duel on Thursday.
