They had to suffer through a rough 64-32 loss at the hands of Antioch Christian Academy. Mullins Marion Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-13.
Mullins Marion Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ceanna Jacobs, who scored 15 points. That was a full 46.9% of Mullins Marion Christian's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Chastity Jacobs was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Antioch Christian Academy was led to victory by Hayden Larrimore and Jessa Oxendine. Larrimore scored 19 points along with seven rebounds, while Oxendine scored 20 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Hunt, who scored ten points.
Mullins Marion Christian dropped their record down to 2-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Antioch Christian Academy, the victory (which was their tenth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.
Mullins Marion Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Defenders on January 19th. Antioch Christian Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on January 29th.
