Taft is a perfect 7-0 against Scio since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Tigers will take on the Loggers at 4:30 p.m. Taft is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Taft and Santiam Christian meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Tigers took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Tigers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Eagles since Monday.

Taft saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Tolan, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Scio came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 9-5.

Braxton Carlson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Triston Garton, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Scio kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Scio's record is now 9-13. As for Taft, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 22-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Taft has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Scio struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Taft's way against Scio in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Taft made off with a 12-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
