Timpson hasn't had much luck against Woden recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Timpson has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Timpson came up short against Shelbyville on Tuesday, falling 16-2.
Meanwhile, Woden had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Owls. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Brayden Dichard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Logan Whitehead looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Woden got a massive performance out of Landon Nerren, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Nerren has posted since back in April of 2025. Caedyn Stewart was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Timpson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Woden, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.
