The Berrien Rebels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 23rd straight loss. They were dealt a 78-49 defeat at the hands of Jeff Davis. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Berrien in their matchups with Jeff Davis: they've now lost five in a row.
Jeff Davis' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Smith, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of L'earl Conaway, who scored 16 points.
Berrien's defeat was their 12th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-25. As for Jeff Davis, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-18.
