The Auburn Maroons pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 82-65 to Chittenango. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (62), Auburn still had to take the loss.
Ryan Moesch was on fire for Chittenango: he scored 48 points along with 6 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Moesch has scored at least 25% of Chittenango's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bernardo Bortovski, who scored 8 points along with 14 rebounds.
Auburn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chittenango, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Auburn will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Watertown at 1:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Chittenango will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Ballston Spa at 4:00 p.m. on December 9th.
