The Nevada Union Miners will head out on the road to face off against the Kimball Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Nevada Union can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 37-6 win over Ponderosa. Nevada Union didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Nevada Union can attribute much of their success to Rhyder Eelkema, who rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and Bodey Eelkema, who rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Eelkema was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards. Jake Barefield made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Kimball didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against East Union on Friday, but they still walked away with a 35-29 win.
Kimball got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jermaine Nance out in front who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown.
Nevada Union's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Kimball, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5.
