Whitefield Academy came tearing into Monday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 54-19 win over the Bullitt Central Cougars. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Whitefield Academy had a senior duo take command as Noel Smith went 9-for-12 en route to 19 points and five rebounds and Gwynnie Franz went 6-for-15 to rack up 16 points and six steals. Smith has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Riley Ring, who posted two points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Whitefield Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points over those games. As for Bullitt Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitefield Academy will host Jeffersontown at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bullitt Central, they will welcome Shelby County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
