The Quincy Blue Devils can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They blew past Geneseo, posting a 63-28 victory on the road. Given Quincy's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Geneseo is ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Quincy found their leader in underclassman Jada Brown, who scored 19 points along with seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Myley Longcor, who scored 17 points.
Quincy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Geneseo, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.
Quincy will be playing in front of their home fans against Galesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Geneseo, they will head out on the road to challenge Loyola Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
