Victory Christian Academy led Freelance in scoring this week after putting up 30 points on Hampton Roads Generals.
Virginia Lions made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,327 from 13,471.
The Generals' dynamic duo of Jesse Mallory and Christopher Wright proved tough for the Knights to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Mallory threw for 90 yards and two touchdowns and Wright had 76 yards receiving. Jeb Pickford helped Hampton Roads Generals' passing attack out by catching two balls for 13 yards.
Matt Lombardi was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 26 carries, he ran for 125 yards as Rappahannock County lost to Victory Christian Academy. Teammate Tanyon Lee added to the ground attack by rushing for 31 yards.
The Generals' Parrish Candusso and Wright have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Candusso has thrown for 93 yards this season, while Wright, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 11 catches for 98 yards. Rappahannock County's Lombardi leads the league in rushing yards with 205.
A big matchup in Freelance this week will be when Virginia Lions takes on St. John's Saints. At the moment, Vincent Owens's team is in fifth, while the Saints are in first.
Hampton Roads Generals fell 30-24 to Steve Ferrell's team in the closest game of the week. Mallory ran for 33 yards in the loss.
