The La Villa Cardinals suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-13 loss at the hands of Freer. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points La Villa has scored all season.
Freer found their leader in underclassman Ayden Ramirez, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. Joesph Serna was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
La Villa dropped their record down to 2-23 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.6 points per game. As for Freer, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-17 record this season.
La Villa will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Agua Dulce at 5:00 p.m. Agua Dulce will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Freer, they will head out on the road to challenge Kaufer at 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Kaufer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
