After a string of three wins, the Lehighton Indians's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 49-37 to Tamaqua. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lehighton has scored all season.
Leading Tamaqua to victory were Noah Mateyak and Connor Dillon. Mateyak scored 14 points, while Dillon scored 13 points along with four steals. The contest was Dillon's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Ansbach, who scored five points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Lehighton's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Tamaqua, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lehighton is on the road again on Monday and play against Pottsville at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th. Pottsville is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Tamaqua, they will head out on the road to face off against Jim Thorpe at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Jim Thorpe is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
