The Morro Bay Pirates lost against the Cabrillo Conquistadores back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Morro Bay fell 48-35 to the Conquistadores. Morro Bay has not had much luck with the Conquistadores recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Morro Bay lost, one person who can't be blamed is Justin Campbell. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Falat, who scored seven points.
Morro Bay has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Cabrillo, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7.
Morro Bay will take on the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Orcutt Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Cabrillo, they will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
