Last Friday, Mountain View came up short against Timpanogos and fell 53-46. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 17th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Coleman Pearson, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Hockersmith, who put up eight points in addition to 11 boards and five assists.
Even though they lost, Mountain View smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.

Mountain View better keep an eye on Tyrin Jones. He was instrumental in Layton Christian Academy's win, going 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Jones is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Anor Wogar was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mountain View has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.6 boards per game.
