The Hyndman Charter School Hornets are on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Ferndale Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-49, which was the final score in Hyndman Charter School's tilt against the Panthers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Hyndman Charter School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 753rd in Pennsylvania, while the Panthers are ranked 299th in Maryland).
Meanwhile, Ferndale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 46-23 walloping at the hands of Salisbury Elk Lick. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ferndale has scored all season.
Hyndman Charter School dropped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Ferndale, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Hyndman Charter School might still be hurting after the 64-39 defeat they got from the Yellow Jackets when the teams last played two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ferndale's Derrick Buchkoski, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Now that Hyndman Charter School knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
