The Angola Hornets pushed their score all the way to 64 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-64 to Northridge. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (55), Angola still had to take the loss.
Angola's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dane Lantz, who scored 25 points. Lantz scored a full 39.1% of Angola's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Stuckey, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Angola bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Northridge, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Angola will head out on the road to face off against Westview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northridge, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against South Bend Riley at 7:30 p.m. South Bend Riley is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
