Basketball Recap: Konos Academy Skates Past Central Christian with Ease

Konos Academy won the last time they faced Central Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Konos Academy Condor simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Central Christian Crusaders 64-32. With that win, the Condor brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.

Joshua Knapp was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 17 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Knapp, who posted ten points and three steals.

Konos Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Central Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lukas Crane, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Steidinger, who put up 12 points and six rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Konos Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-8. As for Central Christian, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-6.

Konos Academy will look to defend their home court on December 17th against Trinity Christian School of Griffin at 8:00 p.m. Konos Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season. As for Central Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-49 defeat against Skipstone Academy on the 12th.
