The Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers posted their biggest victory since December 9, 2023 on Saturday. Everything went their way against Creede as Cripple Creek-Victor made off with a 58-38 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cripple Creek-Victor.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cripple Creek-Victor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Lohmeier, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lohmeier has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Durham, who scored 11 points.
Creede's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Will Roden, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Roden has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Fazio, who scored 18 points along with three steals.
Cripple Creek-Victor's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Creede, they bumped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Cripple Creek-Victor will take on Pikes Peak Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pikes Peak Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 235 points over their last three contests. As for Creede, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sierra Grande at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
