The Dobbs Ferry Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Tuckahoe Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Dobbs Ferry never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Albertus Magnus last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 39-0 win over the Falcons at home. Given Dobbs Ferry's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Albertus Magnus is ranked 459th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Tuckahoe didn't have too much trouble with Woodlands on the road on Saturday as they won 34-20. Tuckahoe pushed the score to 34-14 by the end of the third, a deficit Woodlands cut but never quite recovered from.
Jax Colacicco continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 227 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Jackson Snyder did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 117 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Dobbs Ferry's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Tuckahoe, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Dobbs Ferry took a serious blow against Tuckahoe in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 33-6. Can Dobbs Ferry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
