The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They blew past West Union 64-25 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-12.
Lynchburg-Clay got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addison West out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. West is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Macy Etienne, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
West Union's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Madison Stout, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and two steals, and Emily Stapleton who scored five points.
West Union struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lynchburg-Clay racked up 14 assists.
Lynchburg-Clay has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for West Union, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynchburg-Clay will take on the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Union, they will head out on the road to face off against the Mohawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
