Mt. Zion won the last time they faced Maroa-Forsyth and things went their way on Thursday too. The Braves walked away with a 2-0 win over the Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Mt. Zion didn't let Maroa-Forsyth take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 26-24.

Mt. Zion's offense was headlined by Kendall Smith and Angela McCoy, who picked up nine kills apiece. Smith really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 13. Catelyn Crafton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Mt. Zion's record now sits at 19-15. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-12 record this season.

Mt. Zion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Civic Memorial on the 28th. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Warrensburg-Latham on the 28th.
