The First Academy Royals posted their biggest win yet this season on Wednesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 80-28 win over Orangewood Christian. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-17.
The First Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lorenzo De jesus, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cael Lerner, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Orangewood Christian saw an underclassman step up: Jacoby Osbourne scored 13 points.
The win was the third in a row for The First Academy, bringing their record for this year to 12-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Orangewood Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
