The Ragland Purple Devils were the 67-41 winner over the Victory Christian Lions when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Ragland fell just short of Victory Christian by a score of 72-70. Ragland has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Peyton Scott was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 10 rebounds for Victory Christian. The match was Scott's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Caleb Wilson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Ragland has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Victory Christian, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Talladega County Central the next time they take the court. Ragland will head out to face Talladega County Central at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Victory Christian will host them at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
