In what's become a running theme this season, the Modesto Christian Crusaders gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They breezed by Tracy at home to the tune of 90-52. Winning may never get old, but Modesto Christian sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Modesto Christian was led to victory by Myles Jones and Gavin Sykes. Jones scored 21 points along with two steals, while Sykes scored 21 points along with two steals. Sykes has been hot recently, having posted 20 or more points the last five times he's played. Armon Naweed was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Modesto Christian's win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Tracy, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Modesto Christian will challenge the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Tracy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Flames at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Lodi presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in California (the Flames are ranked 207th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 712th).
