Druid Hills has not had much luck with Southwest DeKalb recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Southwest DeKalb got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aaron Burks out in front who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Messiah Mergan, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Druid Hills has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Southwest DeKalb, their victory bumped their record up to 1-4.
Druid Hills will take on Duluth at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Duluth will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Druid Hills is ranked 91st). As for Southwest DeKalb, they will head out on the road to face off against Miller Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller Grove comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
