After three games on the road, Lakeside School is heading back home. They will take on the Abbeville Christian Academy Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeside School will be strutting in after a victory while Abbeville Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Lakeside School posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Crenshaw Christian Academy, posting a 52-11 win on the road.
Chloe Helms continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lakeside School's points. Sophie Seaborn was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Abbeville Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 67-51 fall against Springwood. While losing is never fun, Abbeville Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while Springwood is ranked 88th).
Anna grace Blalock put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 22 points along with nine rebounds. That was a full 43.1% of Abbeville Christian Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Dyson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Lakeside School's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
Lakeside School beat Abbeville Christian Academy 46-35 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Does Lakeside School have another victory up their sleeve, or will Abbeville Christian Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
