The Edison Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 52-36 bruising from Huron. If Edison was looking for revenge after losing 56-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
When it comes to explaining why Edison lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kayden Bourget. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Coltyn Meagrow was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Even though they lost, Edison were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their ninth loss (out of 11 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Edison dropped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Huron, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Edison will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. South Central has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28. As for Huron, they will head out on the road to square off against the Fliers at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Clyde's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
