Pontotoc came into Thursday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the West Point Green Wave on Thursday. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Green Wave, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Pontotoc took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-11, 25-13.

Pontotoc's win bumped their record up to 11-12-1. As for West Point, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pontotoc beat the Green Wave by a score of 3-0 later that day.
