Northview is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Liberty-Benton is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wildcats will host the Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Northview 3.7, Liberty-Benton 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Friday, Northview got the win against Ross by a conclusive 9-1. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.
Graham Newnham tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Liberty-Benton is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Northview, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Everything went Northview's way against Liberty-Benton in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Northview made off with a 7-0 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
