Given Academy of Richmond County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Morgan County is ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cross Creek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Academy of Richmond County, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
